The Country & Regional Living Expo is your opportunity to find out about the virtues of living and working in country and regional Queensland but whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of thinking of country and regional areas as “the bush.”

Sure, that wonderful part of our state still exists but Queensland, outside of Brisbane, is much more than that.

Our State boasts many vibrant and sophisticated regional cities where residents enjoy the facilities and opportunities available in any capital city without the enormous mortgage payments, huge fuel bills and overcrowding and commute times that seem to grow by the day.

It also boasts beautiful, clean and uncluttered coastline and beaches and smaller country towns where a real sense of community and caring exists and where affordable and easy living is available.

At the The Country & Regional Living Expo you will be able to meet representatives representing communities from across country and regional Queensland, keen to answer your questions, and to encourage you to consider their area for you to relocate or invest. Many of the communities will have representatives from real estate agents, job providers and major employers.

Maybe it’s time to ask ourselves these questions:

“ How much better off am I now than I was three years ago?” and

“ What is going to change in three more years if I stay where I am?”

These can sometimes be confronting questions but as our lifestyles disintegrate in Brisbane it is fast becoming decision time if we want to change the situation.

It’s time to make the move to a country or regional centre and take advantage of the wonderful opportunities and lifestyle that is available outside of Brisbane.
