About Us
The Country Week Expo is the catalyst for providing Sydney and Brisbane
residents with information about the diversity and wealth of opportunity
available
throughout New South Wales and Queensland. To ensure the successful operation
of the Expo, a group of people have been appointed who are experts in
the
field
of regional development, event management, public relations and media
management.

Peter and Jenny Bailey - Convenors
Convenor of the program, Peter
Bailey and his business partner/wife Jenny have always had a
passion for Regional Development, hence
their decision to initiate Country Week. Peter is a former
President of the Tamworth District Chamber of Commerce and Industry
and
a former Chairman of the Armidale Development Corporation. Peter
and Jenny ran the largest Sharp office automation business
in country
Australia until the business was sold in 2000. |

Laura Carr – Event Manager
Laura joined the Country Week
team in January 2007. Having completed a Bachelor of Agribusiness
majoring in Marketing at the University
of New England Laura has a strong interest in promoting country
and regional areas. |

Tony Wade-Ferrell – Sales Manager
Tony joins the Country Week Team after 25 years experience in the
exhibition industry. Tony has worked in all facets of the industry
from sales management, event management and marketing. Tony has worked
in trade orientated and public events covering many and varied areas
of the industry. |

John Begley - Media Consultant
John Begley has had over 30 years experience in
the media as an award winning journalist and news manager.
As General Manager of News for the Prime Television Network, John
was responsible for the running of newsrooms in four Australian states
and in New Zealand.
He has been involved in the training of a large number of journalists,
many of whom have gone onto successful careers on national television.
In the past five years John has run his own successful public relations
and marketing business, working with private companies and government
departments. |

Wayne Cooper - Consultant
Wayne Cooper Consulting – Creating
and delivering regional visions was founded by Wayne Cooper in
2007. Wayne Cooper Consulting
positions regional developmental projects to achieve optimum turnaround
and commercial return. The company is a regional consultancy with
strong links to Sydney specialising in transforming ideas into profitable
reality; by utilizing the untapped potential present in all individuals,
communities or organizations, striking deals and agreement with key
stakeholders, raising capital, leaving clients in control, mitigating
risk, finding missing key talent and ensuring ongoing support of
communities.
