Welcome to Country Week – It’s time to make the move.

Country Week Expo 2008, will be held from 10am to 4pm daily on 8 - 10 August 2008 in Sydney and from 10am to 4 pm daily on 19 - 21 September in Brisbane.

Every day it is demonstrated to us why it is becoming more and more difficult to live in our major cities.

Maddening congestion, commute times becoming ridiculous, traffic that seems to increase on a daily basis, fears for our own and our families’ safety and on top of all of this, the near impossibility of owning our own home in the foreseeable future, and the increasing difficulty of even renting accommodation.

The cost squeeze facing capital city based families continues to tighten. In Sydney, families face the situation of earning more money but actually having less to spend.

But if you have taken the time to read this, you already know it.

What you might not be aware of is that there is an alternative. Never has the time been so right to make the move to a country or regional centre.

Country Week is here to help you in that decision making and show you how to make the move to a better life. The Country Week Expo is your opportunity to find out about the virtues of living and working in country and regional Queensland or New South Wales. Country & regional areas offer people and businesses, a wide variety of opportunities. Country Week is an easy, direct way to find out what is on offer.

At the Expos you will be able to meet community representatives from across country and regional areas in either Queensland or New South Wales (depending on which Expo you attend), who will answer questions and encourage you to consider their area for you to relocate or invest. Many of the communities will have representatives from real estate agents, job providers and major employers.

Country Week is a co-operative venture whose principal partners include Stralia Web, the three tiers of Government, major businesses and community organisations, all of whom share the vision of growth and rejuvenation of country and regional Australia.
